What is the plot of Classroom of the Elite?
The Education of the Rich and Famous is a show in which students at a prestigious school compete against one another to see which of their classes will emerge victorious. A rather straightforward narrative, but there’s no reason to read too much into that simplicity. The Light Novel is pretty nice, but I don’t think the community should get too excited about it just yet since I don’t believe it’s quite as good as it has to be to merit the label “hype-worthy.” Nevertheless, outstanding character writings, meticulously constructed tests, and unexpected twists in the story. A refreshing departure from the typical high school romance or whatever else you might expect. Bear in mind that while I enjoyed reading the light novel, I do not believe the anime version does justice to the source material.

The background is wonderfully done, and I truly like the attention to detail. On the other hand, I believe the character designs are… well, let’s just say you’ll have to get used to them. The patterns give off an impression of being rather inexpensive and are not particularly detailed. The characters’ faces have a propensity to be asymmetrical at times, and I don’t particularly care for the character designs generally. To tell you the truth, though, up until this point, it has all been a matter of preference. But I think the anime adaptation has a huge difficulty with transferring specifics from the light novel, which is also where I see the major problem. This is where I see the most significant issue.
