About Josh Groban

On February 27, 1981, Joshua Winslow Groban entered the world. He is known for his work as an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, actor, and television personality. His first four solo albums have all been awarded the multi-platinum certification. He was named the best-selling artist in the United States in 2007, having sold over 22.3 million music sales. As of the year 2012, he had racked up more than 25 million record sales worldwide.

Groban began his professional career as an actor, but when his voice developed, he decided to pursue a career in singing instead. He received his secondary education in the arts from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, which is a public school, is open to all students without charge, and can be found on the grounds of California State University, Los Angeles. At the rehearsal for the 1998 Grammy Awards, David Foster approached Josh with the proposition of having him sing a duet with Celine Dion titled “The Prayer.” Andrea Bocelli was unable to perform due to illness. He was extended an invitation to come on Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show as soon as it was possible. Foster encouraged Gray Davis to give a performance shortly after he was sworn in as Governor of California in 1999. After watching him perform “You’re Still You” for the season four finale of Ally McBeal in 2001, show creator David E. Kelley cast him in the role of Ally McBeal’s boyfriend.
